Artist Focus: Ezra Jack Keats

In this workshop we will look at the pioneering mixed media technique of American children’s book illustrator Ezra Jack Keats (1916 - 1983). Keats layered gouache painting with cut paper collage, often creating his own patterned and textured papers to use. We will make our own works inspired by his process.
