This workshop offers a hands on introduction to the intaglio printing process.
Intaglio involves etching a design into a ‘plate’ which is then inked. The surface is then wiped clean, leaving ink only in the etched/sunken areas. The plate is then squeezed against paper through the roller printing press, and the image transferred to the paper.
The process is really fun and experimental, and in this beginners workshop you will produce several prints of your own to take home and be proud of!
As always, my workshops are small (maximum of 6) and all are welcomed! Grab a friend and BYOB for a fun and creative evening!
Definitely dress to make mess, as this one is INKY! All materials included.
